Why Marbaloo? Music and marketing are two of my passions so when I found a company that had the perfect balance between both, I knew that it was my kind of place! I’ve always wanted to be a part of a team that creates new, unique ways for artists to connect with their fans, and that’s exactly what Marbaloo is known for. The groundbreaking work that is produced mixed with an incredibly passionate and supportive company culture, had me hooked - it even inspired my move to Nashville!

What is your thing (Publicity, social media, marketing, design, photography, etc) and why? I would say that marketing strategy is my thing. I love the whole creative process and bouncing ideas off of a team until you get that “ah-ha” moment - it energizes me! It’s such a great feeling realizing you came up with a unique, never been done before idea for a client. Whether it’s creating an engaging social media campaign or a deciding on a video content idea, I love every aspect of strategic planning and watching that idea come to life.

Why do you do what you do?: I’ve loved the music and entertainment industry since my parents took me to see a Britney Spears show when I was 5 years old. Since then, music has always been my passion, so having an opportunity to make a career out of it couldn’t be more fitting. Having the chance to help both well-known and new artists grow their career is something that I’m really excited about. I love being challenged and figuring out what works, and what doesn’t work for certain people, which is why the music industry is the perfect fit because there is always some type of obstacle.

What inspires you?: Creative people inspire me. I find the “next big thing” to be so fascinating so when someone comes out with an idea I think to myself “wow, why didn’t I think of that?” It makes me want to be a part of it. Others' creativity is such a motivator to continue to push my imagination beyond its limits and always think outside the box.

How do you like to spend your free time? Of course, finding new music and going to concerts. Aside from that, I love writing, spending time with my family, exploring the city, going to sporting events, finding fun happy hour spots, and obsessing over the Bachelor franchise and Harry Styles.

What do you wish people knew about you?: I have a very sarcastic, witty personality but it’s always out of love :)

What’s your favorite saying?: What’s meant to be will be.

What do you do to recharge your creativity?: I usually listen to music and read articles. I’m always curious about the latest trends - whether it’s on social media, in fashion, or the new slang the kids are using - so I find that getting informed tends to spark ideas for me.

New Hire: Marketing Intern, Kelsey Neville

Please join us in welcoming our new interactive intern, Kelsey Neville! Kelsey graduated from Robert Morris University with a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Marketing before bringing her talents to Nashville and enrolling in Belmont University’s MBA program. Kelsey’s hard work, sense of humor and love for reality television have made her an easy fit into the Marbaloo family. We’re so excited to have her on board! Welcome, Kelsey!

Hometown: Grand Blanc, MI

Why Marbaloo? First and foremost, the company culture is outstanding. Marbaloo consists of a group of people that actually genuinely like each other and that’s not easy to come by. I also love the creative and out of the box ideas that the team comes up with - they inspire me not to go with the status quo and continually dig to come up with the most innovative ideas.

What is your thing and why? Marketing is my passion. Originally, I loved it because it was a new outlet for me to draw upon my creativity in but throughout my studies it’s grown into so much more that that. It's become a norm for me to be reading case studies of how companies are handling all different aspects of their marketing strategy from branding to advertising.

Why do you do what you do? Someday when I grow up, I think I’d like to continue my journey in digital marketing. I really love brainstorming and watching as that magic turns into an actual strategy and is executed. I’m also very interested in the overall branding of artists as well as finding partnerships that makes sense for them.

What inspires you? Underdogs. I’m beyond inspired by people that by all means “shouldn’t” be as successful as they are but choose to never give up anyway. Their success stories, big or small, are inspiration to keep following my dreams of working in the music business.

How do you like to spend your free time? I love reality TV and listening to podcasts - especially any part of the Bachelor franchise. I also love spending time with my dog Minnie, trying out the never ending supply of new coffeeshops in Nashville, running and spending time with my friends/family.

What do you wish people knew about you? I'm constantly daydreaming about starting all sorts of side businesses. One of the most consistent ideas is a donut/coffee food truck that would be in the cutest vintage Shasta trailer anyone has ever seen.

What’s your favorite saying? If you can dream it, you can do it.

What do you do to recharge your creativity? Self-reflection is one of my favorite ways. When we sit down and take a look at how far we’ve come it’s much easier to feel inspired by our own journey. Also, lots and lots of Pinterest - after an hour on the platform I believe that I can make all sorts of woodwork and have my entire future wedding planned (minus the husband part, that's not that important right?)

What song can't you stop playing right now? Jersey on the Wall - I’m Just Asking - Tenille Townes

New Hire: Interactive Assistant, Alden Burge

Florida native and copywriting ninja Alden Burge joined Marbaloo as an Interactive Assistant in October after interning with ROAR, and Iconic Entertainment. She also served as President / VP of communication and a founding member of her CMAedu chapter. Read more about her below and join us in welcoming her to our growing team! We're so happy to have her.

Hometown: St. Augustine, FL

Why Marbaloo?: I started following Marbaloo almost three years ago when I was interning for a different company in Nashville. The more familiar I became with the company, the more I admired the work ethic, the company culture, and the nontraditional “corporate” vibe. It seemed like the perfect contemporary environment to grow and learn from so many respected professionals in the industry. When the opportunity came up to apply, I jumped and I couldn’t be happier that I did.

What is your thing and why?: Marketing and social media. Marketing just doesn’t exist today without social media. It’s a huge aspect of all of our lives and I love being able to work on behalf of artists and our other clients to help further their success.

Why do you do what you do?: It’s really cool being a part of a team that helps others grow. Whether it’s a marketing campaign their fans/followers love, a #1 song, a video, a new album, or some other project; it’s rewarding to play a small part in achieving clients’ goals and then striving to achieve bigger and better goals in the future. I love the challenges (big or small) that present themselves in this industry.

What inspires you?: I think it’s really cool to see new and creative marketing campaigns that have been pushed out by big companies or other artists. In a way, it challenges you to think outside the box and work hard towards pulling together something awesome for the clients you work for. It’s also inspiring to hear new artists that have that fresh new energy about them. You can’t help but feel excited about it.

How do you like to spend your free time? I pretty much spend most of my free time with friends, at shows, traveling, and trying to stay active in some way. I’m not a homebody, so I love being out and about. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a good Netflix binge or night in every once in a while though :).

What do you wish people knew about you?: I am super easy-going. Most people figure this out the more they get to know me, but I think it takes way more energy to be angry or upset all the time, so I try to be happy and content with everything going on in my life.

What’s your favorite saying?: “Everything happens for a reason.”

What do you do to recharge your creativity?: Take a break. I think sometimes it’s helpful to step away from a project and come back to it after you’ve worked on something else or just taken some time off.

What song can't you stop playing right now? The Middle by Maren Morris & Zedd
