Please join us in welcoming our new Interactive Coordinator, Bonnie Stewart!
Seneca, South Carolina
I told my mom that I wanted to work in music when I was four, so you could say it’s a long time coming. When I graduated from Belmont with a B.B.A. in Music Business and was looking for my first job, I knew I needed a role that played into my creative side so I literally typed “music advertising agency” into Google and have been stalking Marbaloo ever since to find a position that fit my professional experience. After spending two years in traditional advertising, I am beyond excited to join the Marbaloo team!
What is your thing and why?
My thing is definitely marketing - I am fascinated by the strategy process and getting to see all of the collective actions of a team build up to accomplishing big goals for clients.
Why do you do what you do?:
I do what I do because I am equally right and left brained. Marketing is a happy medium that allows me to live in that sweet spot right in the middle.
What inspires you?:
My family - I’m so proud of every single one of them for various both personal and professional triumphs.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I went to Clemson for the first two years of college, so I obviously love watching football. I love to cook and bake and I have recently made an effort to start reading more often.
What’s your favorite saying?:
I don’t know if I have a favorite, but one that has always stuck with me since I first heard it in Princess Diaries as a child is “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that there is something more important than one’s fear.”
What do you do to recharge your creativity?:
The trip is relatively far these days, but any time I get to spend more than a few days at home in SC with my family or at the beach helps me to recharge and slow down to appreciate things, which is inspiring in itself. Long drives are good for that, too. And getting some alone time laying on the floor listening to a new/favorite record.
What song can't you stop playing right now?
I have been bumping Lizzo’s “Good As Hell” on repeat for probably over a year now. That song puts me in the best mood. She just released a new song, “Juice,” that is also a total bop.
